Stas Orlovski is a Los Angeles based artist who was born in Kishinev, Moldova in 1969. His family fled the Soviet Union and settled in Toronto by way of Tel Aviv and Paris. Orlovski studied art in Toronto and Los Angeles receiving a BFA from York University, a B.Ed from the University of Toronto, and an MFA from the University of Southern California.

Orlovski has exhibited his work widely throughout the U.S. with solo exhibitions at Mixed Greens in New York, Traywick Contemporary in Berkeley, and Peter Miller Gallery in Chicago. Group exhibitions include venues such as The Pasadena Museum of California Art, The  Long Beach Museum of Art, Islip Museum of Art, , Naples Museum of Art, Arkansas Center for the Arts and the Weatherspoon Art Museum.

Prominent public and private collections include the American Embassy in Brussels, The Progressive Corporation, The West Collection, The Fine Arts Museum in Houston and The Museum of Fine Arts in San Francisco. 

Orlovski has been awarded fellowships, grants and residencies by the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Art Omi International Art Center, the George Rickey fellowship from Yaddo Corporation for the Arts, the J. Paul Getty Trust Fellowship from California Community Foundation and the City of Los Angeles Individual Artist Fellowship (COLA) from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
