Peter D. Cummings is chairman of Ram, a real estate management and development company based in Florida. He currently serves as a board member and chairman emeritus of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO). As chairman of DSO, he spearheaded the Orchestra Place project, which rejuvenated the neighborhood surrounding historic Orchestra Hall with a $225 million mixed-use development, including a new High School of the Arts. In addition to serving on the DSO board, he is a board member of the New York Philharmonic, the League of American Orchestras and the National Advisory Council of Carolina Performing Arts. Born in Montreal, Canada, Peter is a graduate of Yale University (BA, 1968) and the University of Toronto (MA, 1969). He hosts a monthly radio show called Linked connecting classical music with other musical genres on Sirius XM Pops. He resides in New York City and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
