Born in 1960, I grew up in the SF Bay Area.

I studied math and philosophy in college.  I met my (late) wife while an undergrad at UCB.

Our son was born in 1987.

After some years working in record shops and bookstores, I decided to go into software - a good decision (I'm well paid and happy in my work).

I worked at various software companies including some startups and a dot-com (those were the days!) and I've settled in at GT Nexus as a senior engineer.

My wife died of pancreatic cancer in 2006.

I read, listen to  music and take on various artistic projects in my spare time.  I've recently added improv theater to that list.

 I'm happy to be alive and able to appreciate what life has to offer as well as contribute what I can.
