
Independent multimedia and sound artist Elise Kermani has completed several large-scale productions as writer/director, sound designer and collaborator. She has presented her work nationally and internationally since the early 1990's. In 2007 she received a PhD in media philosophy from the European Graduate School with her dissertation "Sonic Soma: Sound, Body and the Origins of the Alphabet" which was published by Atropos Press in January, 2009. Her experimental film JOCASTA is now touring the festival circuit, and her next film POE […and the museum of lost arts] will be released in early 2012.
