Rewards for supporting Woodcut Thrill Ride!
For ten years, we’ve stretched our own ideas of what collaborative art is. We’ve worked together, as well as with other artists, musicians, students and instructors to make projects that we believe are greater than the sum of their parts.
Woodcut Thrillride is no different. We’re teaming up with accomplished animator Eric Knisley and acclaimed saxophonist John Ellis to produce something that is much more than we could possibly do on our own.
This showcase features the four rewards we are offering in return for your contribution towards our project, and our aim is that they reflect the spirit of collaboration with which we are approaching this project.
John Ellis has gracefully offered his CDs as rewards, and in turn we’ve created prints inspired by his music: a traditional playbill and broadside, and a 3-color woodcut intended to be a mash-up of the different horn instruments which comprise John’s band, Double-Wide.
